Welcome to the website of the Double Bay Chamber of Commerce. Where Sydney's cafe society meets for fine food, fashion and fun.
Double Bay is one of Sydney's premier shopping centres. Set amid the residences of the wealthy and famous, and surrounded by Sydney Harbour, open parks and tree-lined boulevards, the vibrant retail precinct presents wonderful shopping and dining in the relaxed ambiane of a small village.
A leisurely morning shopping, lunch beneath the trees, an afternoon promenade to discover the many treasures that await you, the elegant arcades and laneways, followed by a superb dinner in one of Double Bay's excellent restaurants.
Although remarkably close to the city and just a stroll from the harbour, Double Bay's elegant, leafy village is a world away from city life. It's a refreshing change from the bustle of busy streets and shopping centres with wide, stylish footpaths that lead you past beautiful shops, shady trees, sidewalk cafes and green parks.
if you are looking for that special outfit you will find top designer fashion from Australia and overseas plus a wide choice of stylish and out of the ordinary accessories from hats to shoes.
Whether the look is glamourous or casual, Double Bay has the range and quality demanded by discerning shoppers who look for value for money and individual service.
At Double Bay's excellent antique stores, art galleries and jewellers you can admire the craftmanship of today and yesterday. Or select from an assortment of homewares, toys, books and more for that special gift or memento of your visit.
Sidewalk restaurants serve meals and snacks throughout the day and night, so whether you want a reviving cappuccino or a three course feast you can dine al fresco and be seen with the cream of cafe society watching the passing parade.
You can sample Austalian cuisine at its best plus Italian, Chinese, Greek, Thai, Indian, Hungarian and French. Double Bay is also the home to some of Sydney's finest Hotels: Sir Stamford and The Savoy. Whether for a glass of Champagne or a night of indulgence you will be very welcome.
